Our number one stop for tiles is Eurotile on Hawthorne Road. Their exquisite showroom gets your creative juices flowing: they carry a panoply of beautiful high-quality tiles of all sizes, shapes, finishes, looks and materials. For a small refundable deposit, you can bring product samples home. If you need a second opinion, you can speak with a showroom consultant to discover the best tile for you. We purchased our Serenissima Magistra Marqui front-entry tiles as well as our hexagon guest bathroom tiles from Eurotile and we were very pleased with the quality; installation was easy and they make our rooms feel more “high-end”.

HARDWOOD
LogsEnd Inc.
We purchased our engineered hardwood floors from LogsEnd, a Canadian owned and operated business that focuses on retrieving “lost” timber from the 19th-century Ottawa Valley logging operations. Many of their logs are recovered through diving operations in the Ottawa River, its streams and small lakes. They offer an assortment of different wood species from reclaimed-river pine to European Oak. Their collections include French cut Oak, Wide Plank Flooring, Engineered hardwood, and others. Their showroom is in Stitsville and their wood mill in Bristol, Quebec. We absolutely love our floors and highly recommend them.

Richelieu
The brand “Richelieu” might sound familiar because you can find their brand in many stores including Lowes. The Richelieu showroom on Belfast offers an abundance of decorative hardware including pulls, knobs, decorative hooks, design furniture legs, etc. They also sell custom-made cabinet doors and drawers, sliding system solutions, closet and storage solutions, etc. The only downfall is that you need a business account to purchase products. All of our kitchen pulls and knobs are from Richelieu but purchased at Lowes.

Mondeau
There are three Mondeau locations in Ottawa and Gatineau but the flagship store (Ottawa East Showroom) is situated on Algoma Road off of Star Top Road. The showroom showcases a variety of faucets, sinks, bathtubs, etc. They have thousands of products for all styles and budgets and they offer free delivery within Ottawa, Gatineau and surrounding areas. We bought our kitchen sink and faucet from Mondeau.
Preston Hardware
Located on Preston St. in Little Italy, Preston Hardware is a family owned and operated business that offers an extensive product selection (over 160 000 products and 300 brands in-store and online). Whether you are looking to colour-match a Benjamin Moore colour or buy a specific tool, Preston Hardware will be able to serve your needs. It carries products that you most likely won’t be able to find in other hardware stores.
DOORS, BASEBOARDS & TRIM
Classic Wood Mouldings
Our go-to place for purchasing baseboards, trim and doors is Classic Wood Mouldings on Star Top Road. They have a second location on Moodie Drive. You can go in and browse and the knowledgeable staff will offer you good advice and suggestions based on your budget. Free samples are available to bring home. We purchased our baseboards, trim and doors from Classic Wood Mouldings and were very pleased with their service.

TNT Tile & Marble
We had a great experience with TNT Tile & Marble when purchasing our Calacatta Verona quartz slab from MSI for our kitchen island. Because we knew exactly what type of quartz we wanted, all communication was done over e-mail. They responded quickly, were honest with their timeline, and compared to other quotes, they seemed reasonably priced. We will certainly be working with TNT Tile & Marble again in the future.

We bought our kitchen appliances from Canadian Appliance Source in Trainyards and had a notable experience. The staff is knowledgeable and they offer very competitive prices. Worth taking a look!
PAINT
We buy our paint from The Decorator’s Choice in Ottawa off of Innes near Homesense. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. If you have a special project in mind like painting your garage door or furniture, they will recommend the best paint, rollers, brushes, etc.We especially enjoy working with Martin and Karine.
